Some of our most beloved herbs, like basil and coriander, are ready in 30 days. Others take a bit longer. Choose from a range of herbs, salads and flowers that take between 30 and 50 days from seed to harvest.
From seed to harvest in 30 days
Three steps
1. Insert cassette
The GrowOff cassettes are pre-seeded and covered with a film that helps the seeds to germinate. When the cassette is inserted, The GrowOff recognizes the crop and starts watering.
2. Peel off film
When the seeds have sprouted after 3-5 days, it’s time to peel off the film. We’ll give you instructions on how and when in our app and through a light on the GrowOff.
3. Harvest your greens
After 30-50 days depending on crop type it’s time for the best part: Harvesting!
We’ll provide everything you need.
→ The app tells you when the plants need your attention
→ Automatic renewal of pre-seeded input material so you never run out
→ Packaging and communications material available
Electricity and water usage
One GrowOff filled with 300 plants consumes about 9 litres of water and 9,7 kwh per day. Here are some common household appliances that can help you compare!
9 litres =
1,5 flushes in
the toilet
9 litres = A

The benefits to the planet
Zero pesticides
The GrowOff is a closed environment, which prevents pests from entering in the first place. So no need for pesticides!
Zero water wasted
By controlling the exact amount of water the plants need, we save up to 95% compared to conventional farming.
Less transport
Farming locally means we don’t need to transport the produce far, lowering energy consumption and reducing air pollution.
